A beautifull hand carved and made in New Zealand with NZ Greenstone. This makes a amazing presentation piece, or a 21st birthday key.
This replica Maori Axe features a New Zealand greenstone axe head and carved timber (pine) shaft. As per tradition, paua shell pieces are used to decorate the carving. The axe sits on a display stand.
The axe was a valuable Maori tool, used to fell trees, clear vegetation, prepare tree trunks for carving into waka (canoes), and general carving.
We can add an gold colour engraved plaque on the stand to mark that special occasion.
