About men’s gold curb chains

These curb chains are in 9ct and 10ct yellow gold, in hollow and solid styles and plain or diamond-cut finishes. Hollow chains are lighter for their width; each listing says whether the chain is hollow or solid, and gives the width and the lengths it comes in.

Comparing gold curb styles

Curb chains come in several shapes here. Cuban link chains have thick, rounded links. Concave curb links curve inward. Flat bevelled diamond-cut curbs lie flat with angled edges, and six-sided open curbs are a lighter, more open take on the link.

Some listings give the weight in grams as well as the width and length. Two 60cm Cuban chains, for example, are listed at 4.15mm and 5.15mm wide, weighing 26g and 41g. Weight is a useful guide to how substantial a chain will feel.

Listed lengths include 50cm, 55cm and 60cm, and every chain here is yellow gold. A diamond-cut finish has small flat facets on the links, so it reflects more light than a plain polished curb.

Wider curbs look strong on their own, while slimmer open curbs can carry a pendant. For gold chains in other link styles, see men’s gold chain.

Frequently Asked Questions

What chain length should I choose?

As a guide, about 40–45 cm sits at the collarbone, 50–55 cm falls just below it, and 60 cm or longer sits lower on the chest. Chains that come in lengths have a Length Guide on the product page, with centimetres and inches.

What's the difference between 9ct, 14ct and 18ct gold?

The carat says how much pure gold is in the metal: 9ct is 37.5%, 14ct is 58.5% and 18ct is 75%. Lower carats are harder-wearing and more affordable; higher carats have a richer colour. The carat is stated on each listing.

What carat gold are these?

Most gold pieces here are 9ct gold. The carat is stated on each listing.
