Watches for training, outdoor and active wear — mostly G-Shock and Casio, with Baby-G, Seiko, Lorus and Citizen.
For sport, the useful differences are water rating, band (resin and silicone are light; steel is heavier) and functions such as a stopwatch, step counting or a phone link. All of these are listed per watch.
By audience: men’s and women’s sports watches. See also G-Shock and 200m water resistant watches.
It is set by the maker, and what each rating allows differs slightly between brands. As a guide, "water resistant" with no depth and 30 m cover rain and splashes, 100 m suits swimming and snorkelling, and 200 m suits skin diving. The rating is on every listing — check the maker's guidance before taking a watch into the water.
Half of the watches on this page with a manufacturer measurement are between 42.6 and 51.2 mm across. The case size is on every listing.
Most run on a standard battery. A few are solar-powered and charge from light. Each listing states its power source.
Listings on this page that state a warranty give 2 years from the manufacturer. The warranty for each watch is shown on its product page.
