Choosing a diamond wedding band
Width is a good place to start. Bands here run from around 5.8mm to 8mm across, and many listings state the width. A wider band shows more pattern and suits a larger hand, while a narrower one sits more easily beside other rings.
Look at how the diamonds are placed. Some bands carry a small diamond or a row of stones within a chevron or spear pattern, keeping the surface fairly smooth. Others are cluster or five-stone designs that put more stone on show. One cluster mixes diamonds with black sapphire for contrast.
Most bands are yellow gold. If you prefer a white metal, there are white gold signet styles with a diamond setting. Lab-grown options in 10ct gold give the centre weight and a grade such as EF VS.
