Finding your G-Shock

The range here runs from the original square digital shape to analogue-digital designs, the metal-cased G-Steel models and the Master of G series (such as Mudmaster). Many newer models add Tough Solar charging or a Bluetooth link to your phone; the product title and details say which a watch has. Water rating, case size and functions are listed on each watch, so compare those rather than assuming every G-Shock is the same.

What the specifications show

Every G-Shock here with a manufacturer specification is rated to 200 metres. Most are analogue-digital or fully digital, most run on a battery, and the Tough Solar models charge from light. Cases are large — roughly 38 mm to 58 mm across — so if you prefer a smaller watch, compare the case size on the listing or look at Baby-G. Most bands are resin, including Casio’s bio-based resin; G-Steel and other metal models use stainless steel.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are G-Shock watches waterproof?

Every G-Shock we stock that has a manufacturer specification is rated to 200 metres water resistance, which Casio rates for swimming and skin diving. It is not a scuba-diving rating unless the watch is a certified diver's model. The rating is on each listing.

What's the difference between G-Shock and Baby-G?

Baby-G is Casio's smaller, shock-resistant line, designed mainly for women. G-Shock cases here are larger, from about 38 mm to 58 mm across. See Baby-G and women's G-Shock.

Do G-Shock watches need a battery?

Most use a standard battery. Tough Solar models charge from any light and don't need regular battery changes. The listing states which power source a watch has.

What warranty comes with a G-Shock?

G-Shock listings that state a warranty give 2 years from the manufacturer. The warranty for each watch is shown on its product page.
