What a 50m rating means
The rating is the pressure the watch was tested to, not a depth you can take it to. Makers publish their own guidance on what a 50m watch can be used for, and it differs between makers — check the guidance for the watch you choose. A water rating is not a diving certification.
Other ratings: 30m, 100m, 200m, or all water resistant watches. The rating given on each product listing is the one to rely on.
