Care
- Sterling silver naturally darkens (tarnishes) over time. A silver polishing cloth brings back the shine.
- Wearing it often helps; storing it in a sealed bag or box away from air and moisture slows tarnish.
- Take it off for swimming, showering, the gym and household cleaning.
- Put perfume, hairspray and lotion on first, and your jewellery on last.
- Stones collect dust and lotion behind them: a soft brush with warm soapy water restores their sparkle. Avoid ultrasonic and steam cleaners unless a jeweller has confirmed they are safe for your stones (many gems, and treated stones, can be damaged). Check that the stones and claws are secure from time to time.
